PROBLEM
The clamping capability of the 4 bolts on the pitch ram "knuckle" is often times insufficient in holding the hydraulic rod from turning during turbine operation. The backing out of the rod will create vibration issues and if allowed to completely back out, the blade will become uncontrollable and damage will occur.

SOLUTION
The Ram Lock is a two piece device designed to prevent rotation of the pitch ram rod. The slotted holes allow for easy adjustment along a long range of travel.

Ram Lock device is made from 3/16" steel that is laser cut, hydraulically bent and powder coated.
The Ram Lock is designed to fit the 70mm slotted portion of the rod. Installation requires the rod "flats" to be adjusted to accommodate the flats on the Ram Lock.
A maximum rotation of 1/4 turn may be required for installation:
This will result in a maximum blade T/C change of only ~0.1° for the 90 position and ~0.05° for the zero.
